Shipping & Return Policy
REI allows returns both via mail and in its physical stores. Purchases of new items can be returned with proof of purchase; items mailed to REI are processed in 10–14 business days after arrival. Members enjoy an extended return period of one year, while nonmembers have 90 days to return most items. Certain gear (like outdoor electronics) must be returned within 90 days, regardless of membership.
If multiple items or orders are returned in one box using a single label, REI deducts a flat $7.99 return label fee (even if multiple orders are grouped). Customers may also use their own carrier with tracking and insurance; REI is not responsible for loss or damage in transit.
