Shipping Policy

West Elm provides several shipping options to meet customer needs, including Standard Front Door Parcel Delivery, Next Day Shipping, Home Delivery with White Glove Service, Doorstep Delivery, and Ship-to-Store pickup. Standard deliveries typically arrive within 4–5 business days, while larger furniture pieces are handled through scheduled home delivery. Flat-rate shipping fees apply to select furniture orders, and delivery surcharges may be added for oversized or limited-availability items. Orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, or U.S. territories incur additional fees, while international orders are fulfilled through regional West Elm sites.

Order Processing

Orders are processed within 1–2 business days, and customers are charged at the time of purchase for certain items, such as made-to-order furniture, branded appliances, lighting, and décor. Backordered items ship once restocked, and customers receive updates via email. Next Day Delivery is available for qualifying items if ordered by 4 p.m. PT on weekdays.

Return Policy

Customers may return eligible items within 30 days of receipt or 7 days for quick-ship upholstery. Returns require proof of purchase and must be unused and in original packaging. Made-to-order furniture, monogrammed items, final sale products, and mattresses are non-returnable. Returns can be made in-store, by mail using a prepaid UPS label, or via phone for larger items. Refunds are issued to the original payment method for standard purchases or as store credit for gift returns. Shipping and processing fees are nonrefundable. International returns must be authorized through West Elm’s Customer Care Center.
