First responders can easily avail a special discount of 20% at AT&T.
AT&T offers eligible active first responders access to FirstNet & Family, with families able to save up to 20% on eligible AT&T unlimited plans. Eligible public-safety professionals include law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, 911 dispatchers, emergency managers, and other qualifying first responders. The exact savings depend on the eligible AT&T plan, with current offers providing 20% off Premium 2.0, 15% off Extra 2.0, and 10% off Value 2.0 plan lines. Discounts require an eligible plan and proof of eligibility, and credits generally begin within three billing cycles.
To claim the benefit, eligible first responders can visit FirstNet’s signup page, select “Check eligibility,” choose their organization type and role, and follow the prompts to complete the eligibility check. AT&T then sends activation instructions by email and text after the requirements are met. Verification requires supporting eligibility documentation, which can be uploaded through the FirstNet verification process. AT&T may also require reverification, and the company states that requested verification should be completed within 30 days of the eligibility notification.
