MBTA Student Discount

How to Claim the MBTA Student Discount

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) provides public transportation throughout Greater Boston, including subway, bus, Commuter Rail, and ferry services. For eligible college students, the MBTA Semester Pass program offers a convenient way to reduce transportation costs while traveling to classes, work, and other destinations during the school term.

Students at participating colleges and universities can receive an 11% fare discount through the MBTA Semester Pass program. Some schools may provide additional financial assistance, which can make the overall discount even greater.
